# Carbon Fiber Cloth
Carbon fiber is a high-tech material widely used in pressure pipes, pressure vessels and structural reinforcement, distinguished by its very high tensile strength and elastic modulus.
Technical Advantages
- Ultra-high tensile strength: ≥ 3500 MPa — well above steel and glass fiber
- Modulus matched to steel: ~ 207 × 10³ MPa — the reinforcement layer deforms in sync with the steel pipe
- Corrosion resistant: resists acids, alkalis and aggressive media
- Lightweight: roughly one-quarter the weight of equivalent steel
- Conformable: wraps elbows, tees, reducers and other irregular fittings
- Fast installation: cures at ambient temperature, no heavy equipment required
Applications
In-service repair of pressure-pipe corrosion defects, mechanical damage, weld defects, pressure-rating uprating, surface defects on pressure vessels and storage tanks, and structural steel reinforcement.
Specifications
Unidirectional and bidirectional weaves, standard grammage 200 g/m² and 300 g/m², width 100 mm to 1000 mm — custom widths available.
